Session description
The Pilates I teach is influenced by STOTT PILATESĀ®, a contemporary version of the original Pilates exercises created by Joseph Pilates almost a century ago. Pilates is a way to reach optimal physical and mental wellness, as it emphasizes moving from the centre of the body- the powerhouse, to develop core strength in the deep muscles to stabilize the trunk and protect the back. In this course we will explore the use of small equipment like the soft over ball, resistant bands, Fitness Circles & foam rollers. This equipment will help us explore and develop the Six Principles of Pilates; breathing, centring, control, precision, fluidity, and concentration.
