How A Mindful Movement Practice came to be

This website developed as a result of studios, community spaces and leisure facilities being closed in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
This left me with no place to conduct my movement sessions. As a community and group exercise wellbeing teacher, I felt a need to continue our practice by the only medium available; I quickly had to adapt to new technologies and set up online sessions as a way to keep in contact with my previous clients.
As a result, a new community of mindful movers blossomed.

Online sessions became a silver lining during a turbulent time, allowing many to build and sustain a sense of meaningful positive wellbeing through connection and community. The new platform proved to be more accessible for many during this time, allowing them access to functional fitness and movement sessions that were bespoke to their needs.
Our whole way of being changed as a result of Covid-19, and this website developed out of that change.
We have all had to adjust and learn how to live during a global pandemic. After almost two years of various lockdowns, life slowly returned to how it used to be; in-person areas have now reopened. However, some of us may choose to stay online. Whether it be mobility issues, caring roles, changing working practices, social anxiety or any other barrier, a traditional studio space might not fit the needs of every individual.
This is why I am harnessing the power of Zoom to offer people the opportunity to find community and
joy through movement.

As a result of changes in my own life my personal movement practice has had to adapt, and I’m inviting others to practice with me. My sessions are gentle, encouraging and inclusive; I actively encourage kindness, non-judgmental curiosity, and humour.
I believe that everyone has the right to enjoy the health and wellbeing benefits that mindful movement and exercise can bring - whatever your body type, gender, or stage of life.
